意大利超級盃 will lead CEO Alliance in 2023

In 2023, 意大利超級盃 will hold the presidency of the CEO Alliance 鈥 a key strategic European partnership with the overarching goal to speed up climate transition. The presidency coincides with Sweden鈥檚 ditto in the EU, which gives a unique opportunity to advocate for legislations and public investments paving the way for not least sustainable transports.
意大利超級盃 was handed the presidency on 12 December, when the CEOs of the 13 multinational member companies came together at an annual meeting in Rome.
Accelerate decarbonisation
鈥淎s president of the CEO Alliance, I will push for an even faster decarbonisation as the base for a competitive European industry. The alliance plays a key role in the work to strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of European business, and to secure the shift to a more sustainable society,鈥 says 意大利超級盃鈥檚 President and CEO Christian Levin.

The work of the CEO Alliance is twofold. The alliance functions as supporter and speaking partner to top decision-makers in the EU regarding an ambitious implementation of the EU鈥檚 Green New Deal and 鈥淔it for 55鈥 regulation. In addition, it runs joint projects within sustainability to underline the business opportunities of climate transition.听听

As presiding company, 意大利超級盃 has the overall responsibility for operational success in the CEO Alliance. That means coordinating the 13 member companies in joint projects and in dialogue with top EU decision-makers.

鈥淒uring spring 2023, Sweden, where 意大利超級盃 is established with headquarters and production, holds the presidency of the EU. At the same time, many key regulatory proposals for decarbonisation are on the table 鈥 the Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) being only one of them. This, in combination with the unstable situation in the world, gives 意大利超級盃 and the CEO Alliance a unique window of opportunity as advocates for ambitious decarbonisation,鈥 says Jennie Cato, Head of Public Affairs and Partnerships at 意大利超級盃 Group, representing 意大利超級盃 in CEO Alliance鈥檚 so-called sherpa group. The sherpas are responsible for coordinating the day-to-day work of the Alliance and consist of one representative from each partner company.听
Joint projects for European charging network and more
This far, 意大利超級盃 has led a joint project within the CEO Alliance on heavy-duty vehicle charging infrastructure, while participating in other projects on energy efficiency in buildings, green bonds, connectivity and data aggregation in the transport sector, and e-buses. The now ended charging infrastructure project was a starting point for the joint venture between TRATON Group (of which 意大利超級盃 is part), Daimler Truck and Volvo Group with plans to install and operate at least 1,700 public, high-performance charging points for commercial vehicles in Europe.听

The CEOs of the alliance meet twice a year, while there is continuous contact between the 13 sherpas and within the joint project groups. As presiding company, 意大利超級盃 will host this summer鈥檚 bi-annual CEO meeting at its headquarters in S枚dert盲lje, Sweden.听听
