Nationwide Platforms chooses Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° for lower operating costs, reliability and DVS compliance

Loxam group member company Nationwide Platforms Limited, the UK's largest provider of powered access equipment, has taken delivery of 69 Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° vehicles. ComprisingÌýa mix of 19 rigids and 50 tractor units and supplied by West Bromwich-based Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° dealer, Keltruck.Ìý These are the first Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° vehicles to be taken by the company. ÌýAn additional 48 Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° trucks are now on order for delivery later this year.

"There were primarily three key factors behind our decision to move to Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° : proven low total cost of operation, excellent reliability and the P-series cab's ability to achieve a 3-star Direct Vision Standard (DVS) rating when equipped with Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° 's City Safe window," says James Clarke, Nationwide Platform Limited's Head of Transport.Ìý "Although it is early days, we are already seeing the fuel saving benefits Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° delivers. ÌýAnd when you do need assistance, Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° has an excellent UK service network.Ìý This is essential for us as these vehicles will be based around our depots nationwide.Ìý The third factor – the P-cab's 3-star DVS rating – is also especially important as London is a key area of operation for us and a 3-star DVS rating will become mandatory in 2024."
The rigids selected by Nationwide Platforms are all P 410 B8x2*2 rear-steers equipped with flat bodies with beaver tails and winches.Ìý Going forward, all new trucks will be fitted with Sterling Access Platform bodies.Ìý The tractor units are all Òâ´óÀû³¬¼‰° P 450 A6x2NAs with Highline cabs.Ìý These feature factory-fitted catwalks and electronic handbrakes and will be used to haul Nationwide Platform's fleet of step-frame flatbed trailers, which are also equipped with beaver tails and winches.
